Good News | When Education Takes Flight

In many places across the Amazon, the greatest challenge is not only getting there, but also remaining present.
It is extremely difficult to create opportunities for communities to access knowledge, development, and hope.

It was with this purpose that the partnership between the Faculty of Sciences, Education, and Theology of Northern Brazil (Faceten) and Asas de Socorro was born: to unite education and mission in order to reach people who live where few are able to go.
In the state of Roraima, many communities live in hard-to-reach regions, where long overland journeys are not always possible and, in some cases, do not even exist. It is in this context that missionary aviation makes all the difference.
Through the aviation structure of Asas de Socorro, teachers, teams, and resources are able to reach places that remain isolated from major urban centers.
Each flight represents more than transportation. It represents the opportunity to open doors to a different future.

Through IDE Project, Faceten has brought higher education, training, and development initiatives to the most remote communities of Roraima. In addition to educating students, this initiative strengthens families, prepares leaders, and expands opportunities for people who, for many years, have been far from access to education. When mission and knowledge walk together, lives are transformed.
Asas de Socorro believes that serving goes beyond transporting people. It also means creating pathways so that knowledge can reach those who need it most. By connecting communities through aviation, we make it possible for projects like this to take place with safety, continuity, and impact. Because each landing makes room for new beginnings.
| YOU ARE ALSO PART OF THIS STORY
Every flight that takes off only happens because people choose to walk with us.

By praying or donating, you help bring education, development, and hope to communities where these opportunities are still scarce. Together, we continue giving wings to knowledge, faith, and transformation.
Therefore, pray:
So that more flights can happen;
For the safety of pilots and passengers;
For the communities being served.
Also consider becoming a supporter of Asas de Socorro by donating through our website.
In addition, join us on a missionary boat trip through the Amazon still this year:
August 23–29, 2026
September 13–19, 2026
October 26–November 2, 2026 (Puraquê Mission)
Thank you very much for following along. May God bless you!
